A showstopper cake
The "thousand layers" French cake gets a Mexican makeover. I simply had to choose this recipe to close 2021, this is a cake not to be missed.
When biting into it, you will first get the flaky texture and butter aroma from the home made puff pastry. As you try to catch the crunchy bits falling here and there, the luscious Hibiscus Lime curd will hit you with its tangy and floral notes. Finally, a light Chantilly cream, like a little cloud in your mouth, will be the vehicle for the fresh fruit, which will resist being bitten for a second to finally release its natural juice. 💫
Some components can be made in class and frozen so this is a perfect cake to serve at parties. I will share detailed instructions to do so in class.
